Ensuring that the office of the Municipal Manager is properly geared to optimally perform in accordance with the provisions of Section 55 of the Municipal Systems Act, 2000 • Assisting the Municipal Manager in the development of an economical, effective, efficient and accountable administration • Monitoring and evaluation of performance of all municipal departments • Ability to formulate and influence short, medium and long-term service delivery plan to deliver on municipal strategies and goals • Ability to develop and maintain strategic investment alliances with various stakeholders especially in water services and economic development • Responsible to ensure that key functional areas are aligned towards sustaining and improving efficiencies of the Administration, Compliance register, Strategic planning, Performance Management, Integrated Development Planning, External Audit processes (OPCAR Model) and developing standard operating procedures • Research, develop, identify and participate in the implementation of strategic and short to long term plans associated with the Administrative functionality in the Office of the Municipal Manager.
