Basic Salary

Requirement

Grade 12 • National Diploma/Degree in Public Administration or Equivalent NQF Level 06 Qualifications • Minimum 2 to 3 years’ experience in Special Programmes or Community outreach programmers or any experience relating to gender programmes • A driver’s license • Competency in the use of computers especially in Excel, Power Point, Outlook and Internet.

Key Competency Skills

Knowledge of municipal applicable legislation • Must have experience and understanding of Special Programmers Unit Event organizing skills and stakeholder Management • Good Communication Skills • Good writing skills

Key Performance Areas

Monitor gender programmers within the municipality and throughout the district to ensure gender equality in the district by conducting awareness on gender policy issues • Monitor project to unsure that women, men and young women benefits by collecting data of project, continuous physical visits to projects to ensure support and provision of assistance to needy projects • Ensure implementation of calendar events campaigns and programmers initiated by National and Provincial government e.g. international Women’s Months, National Women’s Month, Human Rights Month, 16 Days of Activism on No Violence against Women and Children’s etc. • Coordinate resources to ensure capacity building for Women and Men by identifying training needs, arrange workshop and training sessions, dissemination of information to relevant stakeholders and conduct awareness campaigns • Coordinate integration of Gender programmes in the integrated Development Plan by ensuring the participation of the affected group in the IDP and Budget processes and assess women and men beneficiation in the Municipal Programmes • Attend day to day gender issues and compile report with recommendation in line with relevant policies to Manager Special Programmes • Coordinate establishment and quarterly sitting of gender forums in line with the National and Provincial Structures • Ensure submission of weekly, monthly and quarterly plans and reports to the Manager Special Programmes.
