Grade 12 • A recognised National Diploma in Environmental Health or/ B Tech Degree in Environmental Health • Minimum of 2 to 4 years’ experience in performing Environmental Health duties and implementing the relevant legislation • Registration with health professions council of SA • Valid driver’s license.

Key Competency Skills

Knowledge of the Local Government sector and applicable legislation.

water quality monitoring • food safety and control • waste management and general hygiene monitoring • health surveillance of premises • Surveillance and prevention of communicable diseases • management of human remains • Chemical safety.
