Basic Salary

SALARY: R857 571.00 TO R 1 102 590.00 (ALL INCLUSIVE TOTAL REMUNERATION PACKAGE)

Requirement

THE INCUMBENT WILL BE REPORTING TO THE MUNICIPAL MANAGER STATIONED PLACE: EMAXESIBENI FORMELY KNOWN AS MOUNT AYLIFF (MAIN OFFICES) Grade 12 • A recognized Bachelor of Science/ Degree in Engineering / B. Tech in Civil Engineering/ related field equivalent to NQF Level 07 qualification • Certificate in Municipal Finance Management or Certificate Program in Municipal Development (CPMD) in line with Minimum regulations on competency level of 2007 • Minimum of five (05) years proven experience at Middle Management position, 3-4 years must be at professional management level engineering management experience in local, provincial, national, government • Ability to communicate and negotiable at all levels of government and with all relevant stakeholders • Ability to prove strategic, visionary and innovative leadership • Extensive knowledge of Performance Management Systems in a local government environment • Computer literacy covering all applications • A valid driver’s license.

Key Competency Skills

Providing strategic direction to the department • Lead and manage personnel in the department so that they are able to achieve the performance objectives as agreed and meet budgetary expectations • Prepare and provide reports on the activities of the department as and when required • Planning aligned with IDP, Budgeting, reporting and overall management of the department • Responsible for Implementation of capital projects including those funded by MIG • Planning, Implementation, monitoring of the provision of water, roads, building infrastructure services department in order to achieve visible service delivery • Develop strategic, plans and policies in respect of all infrastructure development.
