TOTAL REMUNERATION PACKAGE: R968 745.88 (ALL INCLUSIVE TOTAL)

Requirement

THE INCUBENT WILL BE REPORTING TO THE MUNICIPAL MANAGER STATIONED PLACED: MOUNT AYLIFF (MAIN OFFICE) ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: Grade 12 • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or equivalent qualifications • Post graduate qualification will be added an advantage • 5 years’ experience in communication, of which 3 year must be at Management Level • Extensive Experience in the media and communication field is essential • Computer skills with Microsoft package • Valid driver’s license

Key Competency Skills

Provide strategic direction, leadership and management of the communication unit in order to ensure efficient, effective and innovative delivery of communication services to the municipality • Manage the key performance areas and results indicators associated with the provision of effective communication services for the municipality • Develop and executive communication strategy and policies • Determine and establish framework for communication and stakeholder participation • Effective management of communication forums and ensure coordinated communication through these forums • Plan and monitor media relations programmes for maximum publicity of the municipal Programme of action • Satisfy the municipality’s image associated with the services delivery functions encapsulated in the IDP • Management of human and financial
