ASSISTANT MANAGER: INTERNAL AUDIT (NOTICE NO 17/2019/2020)

Basic Salary

TOTAL REMUNERATION PACKAGE: R 821 496.50 (ALL INCLUSIVE PACKAGE)

Requirement

Grade 12 • B Tech Degree/ B Compt Degree Internal Audit at NQF Level as recognized by SAQA, with Internal Auditing IV or Auditing III and Financial Accounting III and minimum of 360 credits • Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors • 5 years relevant experience in Internal Auditing services in Local Government of which 3 years must be at supervisory level • Valid driver’s License • Preferred qualification post graduate diploma in Accounting Science/ Internal Auditing at NQF Level 8 minimum of 120 credits.

Key Competency Skills

Assist the Head of Internal Audit in the provision of Internal Audit Services in the Municipality and its municipal entity • Develop operational plans for Internal Audit, in line with the operational risk assessment • Provide advice and opinions regarding the operational’s efficiency and effectiveness in risk management, internal controls and governance processes • Supervise Internal Audit Teams and ensure achievements of Internal Audit assignments assigned to each Internal Auditor • Promote good governance and ethical culture within the organization and report to the Manager Internal Audit
