Grade 12 • A recognized B Tech Degree or National Diploma in Environmental Health • Advanced Diploma in Health Management and Leadership • Minimum of 05 years’ experience in Municipal Environmental Health Services of which 03 years must be at Middle Management Level • Registered with the Professional Body for Health Professions Council • Competency in the use of computers especially in Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, internet and Publisher • A Valid Driver’s License.

Key Performance Areas

Manage Municipal Health Services within the District by holding regular planning and evaluation meetings to monitor progress of existing programmes, and ascertain the need for introduction of new projects/ programmers to satisfy the identified requirements of communities • Advise the District Health Advisory Council on EH-related issues • Ensure Environmental Health Practitioners are adequately equipped to carry out their functions by means of formal training interventions, informal training and motivational and the provision of necessary facilities and equipment • Develop work procedures, guidelines and norms for standardized service delivery of Municipal health Services • Promote inter-governmental and inter-departmental collaboration and co-operation to facilitate effective implementation of municipal health programmers in the terms of the IDP • Compile and control annual budget for Municipal Health Services • Prepare monthly, quarterly, mid-term and annual reports as required by Senior Manager Community Development Services.
